For Kamran Farid, Donation to Yale School of Medicine was personal

Kamran Farid was diagnosed with leukemia as a young child. He knows all too well how difficult it was for him and for his family. Kamran is now in good health and last year he and his brother shared their gratitude through a $100,000 donation to the Yale School of Medicine. Because of Kamran’s personal experience, the Farid Foundation specifically donated the money to the Yale oncology department’s Psychosocial Service. It is a resource that fulfills patients’ and families’ psychological needs during treatment and recovery from cancer.

Kamran hopes that this donation and others of its kind continue to help families who are fighting cancer.
